Patient Groups

We are very fortunate at our Practice to have two very active and succesful patient groups and we would like to express our sincere thanks to all those that are involved.

FRIENDS OF COLTISHALL

& SPIXWORTH SURGERIES

This group of fundraisers was formed in 1991. Their objective is to support the Surgery and raise funds for the benefit of all patients living within the community in and around Coltishall and Spixworth.

They are a very succesful group and in recent years have supported the patients by purchasing a new Defibrillator, new examination couches and an ECG machine.

They are always interested in hearing from people who feel they can offer support. Please contact the Practice manager if you are interested in joining the group. Meetings are held every two months at Coltishall Surgery. Or perhaps you could offer support at the fundraising events throughout the year.

PATIENT PARTICIPATION GROUP

In November 2008 we were able to develop a Patient Participation Group(PPG). There are 12 people (patients and staff), who meet 3-4 times/ year to work with our practice to provide practical support, encourage health initiatives and provide strategic input and advice. The group is based on a co-operation between the practice staff and patients.

So far the PPG has contributed to the North Norfolk Commissioning group for local GP services, given very valuable feedback on services at our practice and improvements in patient care have resulted.

PATIENT SURVEY

It is some time since the Medical Practice carried out a patient survey. As there have been several changes of late within both surgeries, the Patient Participation Group (PPG) in association with the surgeries management have compiled a patient survey. If you are a patient of the practice and would like to take part it should only take 5 minutes of your time. Your answers will be completely anonymous.
