Dispensary Service

The Dispensary service is available to all patients who live further than one mile from a Pharmacy. If you live within a mile of a Pharmacy you must use a pharmacy service rather than the Surgery Dispensary.

Repeat Prescriptions

Please give 2 working days notice before collection of repeat prescriptions. If you are seeing the Doctor for a review appointment you must still give 2 days notice for repeat prescriptions. You may order in person at the Dispensary counter, leave repeat medication sheet in collection box in the surgery, telephone the Dispensary answerphone service or order online.

To order a prescription online you will need to register at Reception at Coltishall Surgery. They will give you a Practice ID and Access ID number. You will need to make up your own password and then enter all of these details on to the online service page called EMIS ACCESS. This is available by clicking the online appts/prescription service button at the top of the page.

Dispensary Queries

You may phone the dispensary with queries regarding your prescription but repeat medication ordering must be ordered via the answerphone service, the collection box or online.

In an emergency, a pharmacy or chemist is able to supply medication out of hours, if you provide full details of the medication including a repeat slip or medication container with your label on it from the surgery. A charge may be payable even if you are normally exempt from paying prescription charges. If you require a prescription to be posted to you please provide us with a stamped addressed envelope.
